There is a feature that allows users to move products in a scene and not be limited by the little yellow dots.
When first selecting either the normal moving tool or the rotation tool, we are presented with the following icons:
Normal Move:![]()
Normal Rotation:
But with just a few different keys on the keyboard being pressed, new options become available to us.
NOTE: The key has to be held down while doing this or the new function will revert back to Normal Mode.
Using The Shift Key
Move:
The object can now be raised or lowered from its current spot.
Rotate:
The object can now be rotated on one of its axis.
Using the Ctrl Key
Move:
The object can now be slid to the left or right from its current spot.
Rotate:
The object can now be rotated on the opposite axis from the Shift Key function.
Note: Also when using the Shift or Ctrl key in move mode, don't forget to rotate your camera, this will allow you to fine tune placement of any object.
